This is going to be your go-to meal prepping on Sundays. It is simple, it is quick, and you won’t feel guilty feeding your kids one of these for breakfast, lunch and dinner. To be honest, my kid’s think these are desert, so they eat one after every meal..and I don’t feel guilty giving it to them! Let me show you how to make Healthy Protein Pack & Gut Healing Chewy Granola Bars.

As a mom to four that are four and younger, my toddlers are all about the snacks, let alone the chewy granola bars. HOWEVER, I just don’t like the ingredients that are in chewy granola bars. When it comes to healthy granola bars, they are CRAZY EXPENSIVE. These granola bars are inexpensive, and they have collagen and colostrum in them. Which is how they are protein packed and gut healing.
I created these to make a simple grab and go breakfast or snack for my kids and to be honest, my husband and I love them just as much! These healthy protein packed & gut healing chewy granola bars are perfect for everyone!
Ingredients
The ingredients are very simple, wholesome, and something you should have on hand.
Clean Brands I Love
The products that I use!
- Organic Perfect Supplement Collagen (Discount Code: WHOLESOMEFAMILYROOTS10)
- Chocolate Chips– I love HU Kitchen
- Honey
- Peanut Butter
- Oats– I like His Saving Grains. There are so many vitamins and minerals in their oats and there are no preservatives or chemicals on their oats. Here is the link to their website. You can read more about the benefits of their oats.
- Cowboy Colostrum
There is so much green washing out there I thought I would share with you the brands that are clean and that I love. Most of them you are able to get at Walmart or Kroger. You can also order them off Thrive Market!
With being a stay-at-home mom, I really do not have time to do much research on ingredients. I was tired of going to the store, reading the nutrition label and seeing all the harmful ingredients that was in some of the sauces, canned items, and baking items. I wanted to make sure all my condiments, cereals, and baked goods were all clean and organic. That is when I discovered Thrive Market. Thrive Market is an online grocery store that delivers groceries right to your door in just a couple of days. If you are wanting 40% off your first order. Shop the link here!
Importance of eating organic foods
This is something I find so important for us to know and how this can all be nutrient dense and healing to our bodies if we allow it.
My FIRST and the MOST IMPORTANT thing is to shop ORGANIC if you can. I know organic foods tend to be pricier but if you can afford it get it! Why?!
- Eating organic reduces the amount of chemicals in your diet. More often than not our foods are sprayed with pesticides that can cause a lot of health issues to our bodies such as cancer, diabetes, kidney disease, respiratory issues, neurological disorder and the list goes on.
- Eating organic is the best way to avoid GMO foods, ingredients and contamination. Not entirely sure what GMO is? GMO is genetically modified organism, which is a plant, animal, or microorganism that has had its DNA modified using genetic engineering.
- No artificial colors, flavors or preservatives are allowed in organic food.
- Organic food contains more vitamins, minerals, enzymes and micronutrients than conventionally raised food
- Eating organic can reduce your risk of cancer, diseases and other major health issues.
Benefits of Collagen
Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, and it plays a critical role in keeping your tissues strong and healthy—especially your skin, joints, and gut lining. Here’s why we love it:
- Supports gut repair by strengthening the intestinal lining (hello, leaky gut help!)
- Improves skin elasticity and reduces fine lines
- Supports joint health and reduces inflammation
- Promotes stronger hair and nails
- Easy to digest and blends into recipes without flavor
Benefits of Cowboy Colostrum
Colostrum is the first form of milk produced after birth—and it’s LOADED with nutrients, growth factors, and antibodies. Cowboy Colostrum is a grass-fed, high-quality form of this ancient superfood.
- Seals and heals the gut lining (amazing for leaky gut & inflammation)
- Boosts immune function with natural antibodies (IgG)
- Supports healthy digestion and microbial balance
- Promotes cellular repair and recovery
- Great for both kids and adults needing immune + gut support
