Building a baby registry can be super overwhelming. Especially for first-time parents that have no idea what to expect. When I planned my baby registry, I was clueless. I had no idea what babies needed.

Now two years later, with two kids and one on the way. I have experienced the good and the bad with babies…and it’s only the beginning! However, I have created the ultimate guide for you to start your baby registry to make sure you are fully prepared for when that sweet babe comes.

Even if you do not get everything purchased on this list, this guide will be a great resource to go back to (during that late night when the baby won’t stop crying and you cannot figure out what’s wrong with him/her) to see which option you should try next.

I am breaking down everything that a baby might need during their first year of life, and I am showing you the most recommended products (with advice from my family and friends, too) with everything from the first couple days of life, sleeping, eating, travel, WHEN THEY ARE SICK, and so much more. To top it all off, I ensured that 90% of the products were ORGANIC AND NON-TOXIC!

below are my recommendations as to what is needed when it comes to a baby and what you may want to consider putting on your baby registry!

Bed Time, Nap Time, & Down Time

When the baby is first born, in the first couple of weeks the baby will most likely be sleeping in your room. When the baby is not sleeping in your room, you will need a place for the baby to nap, or lounge while you cook supper, do house chores, or simply just need a break from holding them.

For The Nursery

Below you will see several sleep sacks for babies attached. Let me tell you. Every kid is different. Your first kid may like a certain sleep sack and the next may like something completely different. I have attached several not for you to purchase every single one, but for the moment you are having issues with the little one sleeping and you are needing to try something to help soothe them.

Feeding & Eating

For feeding and eating, I went a little crazy. I will attach my favorite items for eating here. However, click on the link here and it will bring you to my whole baby registry where you can go through and see which items you’d like best for you and your baby. You will also see I have attached items like sippy cups, big kid cups, and things that possibly a toddler will need. When it came down to the time when my child needed something, I never had it on hand. This could be something that someone purchases for you on your baby registry and then down the road you have it on hand and you do not have to go out and purchase the item.

Nursing

Nursing is a wonderful thing if you are able to do it! With My first one, I could nurse, and with the second one, I could not. Every kid is different like I said so if you are unable to nurse THAT IS OK! I attached some things that were helpful for me. For the breast pumps normally your insurance company should cover them. So contact them before putting them on your registry.

Bath Time!!

My favorite brand when it comes to bathtime is Honest Baby. I get all their products. Such a wonderful line!

Travel

You never realize how much stuff you need for a kid until you travel. These are all the things I bought the first year of having a kid. By any means do you need all of this? Probably not but boy did it make our lives easier when it came to traveling.

When they are SICK

Hands down it is the worst when your baby gets sick for the first time. You are willing to do anything and buy anything just to make them feel better. My suggestion, get all of this..keep it in a tote called sick babes, and pull it out when the day comes.

Toys

I may have gone a little crazy on the toys and by any means. You do not need these all. I highly suggest lots of teething toys. From when they are 3 months til 1 year old they are constantly trying to find objects to chew on. You will lose some so just have a whole bunch on hand at all times.
